Appealing a BMI Decision
If you are unhappy with a decision made by BMI, there is an official process you can follow to resolve disputes. The first step is typically to appeal an insurance provider's decision.
This will involve gathering documents and supporting evidence in an official statement to the insurer. If after this process you are still in disagreement with the insurance provider, you can move onto the next step outlined below.
The rules and regulations that govern an appeal with BMI can be complicated. An example of the policy terms and conditions can be found in the attached document (at the bottom of this article). See page 10 of the PDF for the full language of the appeals process.
Binding Arbitration
Any disputes, claims, controversies, that have to do with your Policy and Certificate of Insurance must be submitted to binding arbitration in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and the procedure must be conducted in the English language.
