If you are involved in a health emergency abroad, get the injured person to a hospital immediately.

How does my insurance work in an emergency?
One important thing to remember if you are hospitalized due to an emergency is that you only have a certain amount of time (usually 48 hours) to notify your insurance provider; otherwise, you will be penalized by a certain portion of your claim.

It's important to send an email to email@example.com detailing your symptoms and where you are hospitalized, so that there is a paper-trail in case of any confusion down the road.
